DR IDORENYIN EYO

Dr Idorenyin Eyo is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law, University of Uyo. She heads the Department of Public Law in the Faculty of Law. She is also the Deputy Director, Center for Research and Development and the Coordinator of the University of Uyo Law Clinic. Apart from these, she also co-facilitates both the Global Learning Experience Programme and the Global Conversations, between the University of Uyo and DePaul University, Chicago, United States of America,

She has a Doctorate Degree in International Law and Jurisprudence, with research interests in International Law, Technology Law, Law of International Institutions, International Human Rights Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, International Humanitarian Law, International Business Law, and Comparative Legal Practice. She has authored books and scholarly articles in reputable journals, across the globe. She is also a regular conference speaker in conferences all over the world, on multidisciplinary fields, including Law.

She is also a certified Arbitrator and Mediator, same skills which she utilizes not only as an Attorney, but also in resolving disputes on behalf of the Government and her clientele. As a Human Rights Activist, she regularly discusses issues of same and social justice in the media, including executing community enlightenment programmes and projects, with reputable national and international organisations, across countries. She trains her students in these too, and this is evident in the regular community outreach programmes executed over the years, including prison decongestion programmes.

She is on the Editorial Board of reputable journals and facilitates research both within the University, between universities and organisations. She also regularly organises mentorship programmes for young researchers and persons desirous of achieving greatness in life. She remains very passionate in raising leaders who will also contribute positively to the university and the society at large.
